On Behalf Of My Gay Friends, FUCK YOU OBAMA!

Obama has been lying to gays, using them for their vote, and is obviously a bigot:

He said,

The President said in January “(We must) repeal the law that denies gay and lesbian Americans the right to serve the country they love because of who they are. It’s the right thing to do.”

But now,

… the Obama administration filed an emergency request Wednesday with the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals to stop the military from allowing openly gay troops from serving.

In effect, the administration wants to continue barring gays from the military…

The administration argued that changing it abruptly “risks causing significant immediate harm to the military and its efforts to be prepared to implement an orderly repeal of the statute.”

Wow, this sounds a lot like gay marriage…

After Wednesday’s court decision that found California’s Proposition 8 unconstitutional, White House spokesperson Ben LaBolt said, “The President has spoken out in opposition to Proposition 8 because it is divisive and discriminatory. He will continue to promote equality for LGBT Americans.”

Senior advisor to the president David Axelrod said on MSNBC, “The president does oppose same-sex marriage but he supports equality for gay and lesbian couples.”

Obama continues to release nearly-contradicting statements on gay rights in America.

Up to this point I’ve thought that Obama has lied and been wrong, but that he at least lied because he thought he had to for people’s own good. I’ve found him simultaneously condescending and ignorant, but at least his heart was in the right place. That ended today. He had no problem with the courts overturning a democratic vote with Prop 8 (something he said AFTER it had already been overturned) but now he thinks that the courts shouldn’t interfere in Don’t Ask Don’t Tell? Fuck you Obama. Seriously, FUCK YOU!

That wasn’t fair of me. If he’s wrong then he’s wrong. Is their hypocrisy? Yes. Does that imply error? Yes. However, unless someone openly states that they are racist then there’s no way to show that they are based on indirect evidence, and especially evidence as flimsy as this.

Assuming I can see into another human being’s mind or that I have some sort of “bigotry sense” is morally wrong. It’s wrong because it predisposes both myself and any society that accepts that notion to disregard views because someone “cried racism.”

He’s wrong here because of his hypocrisy. I’ve stated that. Why the need to have everyone accept that his positions are bigoted by their very nature? To vindicate a feeling of moral self-righteousness. There’s no other reason. I’m still pissed at Obama, but no, it doesn’t mean he’s a bigot.

Great post, I really believe he wants the law repealed, but only in a way that makes him look like the hero not the courts.
