The News Is Boring
As you know, I recently attempted to become informed about the world around me by reading news headlines. I made the unfortunate mistake of not recognizing that the “iPhone killer” was merely a reference to a cell phone (But cell phones still cause brain cancer, so I stand by my original post.) So I decided that maybe I should actually attempt to really read the news. Then I remembered that the news came in video formats, so I managed to avoid reading. All I have to say from this attempted experience is: the news is boring. There aren’t nearly enough human interest stories, and why are we covering stuff from C-Span? I want to hear more about what celebrities are doing, not politicians I’ve never heard of (Who’s Nancy Pelosi?) Quite frankly, the news is too boring for me to keep bothering. The only good coverage out there is Entertainment Tonight, but they could seriously benefit from more computer graphics on screen and upbeat background music.
