Islam, Religion of Peace

Many might think that the Iranian Islamic dictatorship (and the Saudi and many others), the ties between the Islamic faith and recent terrorism and the violent nature of groups like Hamas might be indications of a link between Islam and a tendencies towards violence. Now certainly there are violent and horrific passages in Islam’s holy text, but what religious text doesn’t have that?

I think the best way to judge the true nature of Islam is by the lessons that Islam teaches children. After all, “The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world.” I think if you bother to study the tolerant and educational programming of Islam, you’ll see that it really is a faith of harmony and peace.

I hope that will set the record straight on Islam. Hopefully now we can move past our religious divisions because (as we all know) religion is always a force for good in the world.
